St. John’s Catholic Newman Center – University of Illinois Fall Wedding | Emily and Andrew
Emily and Andrew’s University of Illinois Wedding at St. John’s Catholic Newman Center made all of my fall boho wedding dreams come true! What a blessed day!
From the early morning getting ready to the final song at their reception, they both were just so excited! Emily and Andrew met during school at University of Illinois Newman Center in Champaign, IL and knew that that is where they wanted to have their wedding mass. They both come from the most loving families who were just so overwhelmed with emotion and pride for the couple the entire day! These two overcame so many challenges to get to their day and despite it all, everything went amazing the day of! I hope you enjoy a recap of their day, I know I did!
I just loved the fall color palette that Emily choose for the bridal party! The warm cinnamon and orange rust colored florals were such a perfect compliment with the men’s black suits and bridesmaids dresses! I will forever be obsessing over the incredible flowers from Flowers by Kristine! So perfect for an Autumn wedding!
Emily and Andrew had the sweetest first prayer just before their wedding mass! They both kept asking God to bless their family, marriage, and future family. It was such a great moment for both of them to pause together and offer their day to the Lord in prayer. I love the idea of a “first prayer” for all couples who want to keep the tradition of seeing each other for the first time at the altar!
Andrew had a few tears during their prayer and it was so sweet! :’)
Emily and her dad were just the cutest!
These swing shots were such a dream! I’m obsessed with cathedral length veils and think they make bridal shots extra romantic! I was so happy that Emily chose to wear to veil, it looked so gorgeous flowing in the wind and for the classic under the veil shot!
Look at these two models! Such naturals!
Andrew and Emily had the most touching dances with their parents! Everyone was in tears at the end including Emily’s sweet sister and maid of honor Katherine!
The dance floor opened with incredible live music by band, The Temporaries, which had everyone on their feet! Couples having a band at their reception might be one of my new favorite reception trends, so much fun and energy!
Emily’s Dad even joined the band for a few songs on the guitar!
Thank you Emily + Andrew for letting me be a part of your gorgeous wedding day! May God shower your marriage with blessings all the years to come!
Thank you to the amazing vendors who made the day come together so beautifully!
