Champagne and Navy Summer Wedding at Great Oaks Golf Course | Rachel & Frank

Rachel and Frank’s beautiful wedding day was held at The Great Oaks Golf Course in Rochester, Michigan. The bridesmaids wore the loveliest champagne dresses and the men wore a dapper, classic navy suit. Frank and Rachel both have hearts of gold and intentionally planned every little detail so that each guest would feel welcomed and loved.

The wedding day started with Rachel, her mom, and bridesmaids getting ready in Great Oak’s beautiful bridal suite! The morning was filled with laughs, food, and champagne as everyone was in full wedding mode for Rachel’s big day. Rachel and Frank made the challenging decision to postpone their wedding a year so this day was extra anticipated and all the more special.

Both sides of the bridal party were as relaxed and fun as could be! They both allowed plenty of time to get ready and really got to enjoy each part of the wedding day – which I just love! Frank and Rachel shared the sweetest letters and gifts with each other which they read right after getting dressed. Frank chose the most thoughtful gifts for his beautiful bride that brought Rachel to tears. Their close friend officiated the wedding ceremony, telling the story of how Rachel and Frankie met and the moment they knew that they were meant for each other. Rachel and Frank said their vows and exchanged their beautiful wedding bands. At last, they were Mr. and Mrs!

Great Oak Golf Course’s Reception space was decorated with the most incredible, ivory florals along with champagne-colored and greenery accents. The whole day had such a classy and elegant feel to it with touches of the bride and groom’s personalities sprinkled throughout. During dinner, Rachel and Frank’s brother and sister gave the most touching speeches, both speaking so highly of Rachel and Frankie. The best man and maid of honor spoke to the character of the bride and groom, their generous hearts, and all of the hard work and patience it took to get to this day. We snuck out for a few golden hour portraits on the golf course and the light did not disappoint! I love when couples take this time to enjoy a quick moment together in private!

After dinner, the doors opened to the most incredible dessert table! I could not believe that Frankie’s mom handmade almost all the beautiful desserts! They were a hit and the guests could not get enough! The phrase “love is sweet” was extra real this wedding! As mentioned earlier, Rachel and Frankie are truly two of the most generous people you will ever meet. They intentionally planned each moment of the day with others in mind. Throughout their wedding day, all they wanted was for their guests and each other to have the best possible time. And what a perfect day it was! Frankie and Rachel, thank you so much for having me along. It was a joy to share in your wedding and celebration. Enjoy your honeymoon, you earned it!

Congratulations, Rachel and Frankie! Thank you for having me! – Colette
