Wine and Gray Summer Wedding at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Plymouth Michigan | Joan + Ryan

Joan and Ryan’s wedding day was one full of heavenly joy! Their wedding mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Plymouth, Michigan and their wine and gray colors were inspired by the wedding feast at Cana.

Joan and Ryan met on Catholic Match and to their surprise, they were only within a few hours of each other! After a few dates, they quickly found out that they were called to the sacrament of marriage. From our first phone call, I could tell instantly how well they complimented the other.

Joan got ready at home with her amazing bridesmaids and family. The sun was shining so brightly and beautifully, the most perfect weather for a wedding day! Right before we left for the church, Joan shared the sweetest first look with her Father. Joan is the last child in her family to be married and the only girl. The relationship she shares with her father is so special and it was a moving movement to witness.

Ryan was patiently awaiting his beautiful bride when we arrived at Our Lady of Good Counsel! He was all smiles and could not be more excited! Right before the wedding mass, Joan and Ryan chose to read letters that they wrote each other and prayed with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Joan’s mother along with her bridesmaids and Joan’s father and groomsmen led the men in the most beautiful prayers. Surrounded by their family and friends, they all prayed for Joan and Ryan’s marriage to be blessed to the fullest.

Joan and Ryan’s wedding mass was the most grace-filled and holy ceremony. The music was incredible and the joy of heaven was reflected on Joan and Ryan’s faces during the entire mass. Though I keep repeating the word “joy” the entire wedding day truly embodied the word in all forms. I continue to be even greatly inspired with each wedding mass I attend.

Joan and Ryan, you two are one of the most faithful and kind couples I have had the pleasure of meeting! Thank you so much for having me along on your wedding day and I look forward to seeing your marriage grow even more beautiful with the Lord’s guidance!
