St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Catholic Wedding in Green Bay, Wisconsin | Bridget + Johann
This wedding season keeps getting better and better and Bridget and Johann’s beautiful, summer wedding was no exception!
Bridget and Johann first met in Europe during Franciscan University’s study abroad program. Their first date was in was over dinner, wine, and a charcuterie board! As Bridget’s sweet sister and maid of honor Eileen said during her speech, perfect for a Wisconsin girl! The theme for their wedding was elegant and classy! Bridget was glowing in her romantic, tulle Justin Alexander wedding gown, and Johann was looking sharp in a navy blue suit. Their dusty lavender, navy, and white colors were sprinkled throughout the day in the bridesmaid dresses, groomsmen suits, and reception details! Everything was just perfect for a summer wedding but the incredible wedding mass was the most beautiful of all.
Their nuptial wedding mass was held at Bridget’s childhood church, St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. The Cathedral was absolutely stunning and is hands down one of my favorite churches I have ever photographed in! Johann was in tears seeing his beautiful bride walk down the aisle and Bridget was just radiating on her Dad’s arm. Originally from Canada, Johann was not able to see Bridget for months during the lockdown. Her walk down the aisle was the perfect close to the chapter of long-distance in their relationship.
After the incredible wedding mass, we had such a fun afternoon with their bridal party at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens. The entire bridal party had the best energy and was the perfect crowd, they even brought the champagne! We closed out portraits at Oneida Country Club and Bridget and Johann were showered with love and touching toasts from their sweet family and friends. Later in the evening, the entire reception took to the floor and danced the night away on Oneida’s black and white checked dance floor!
Bridget and Johann, thank you so much for having us as part of your day! It was an honor to witness such a holy and beautiful couple vow to love each other for better or for worse. Your kind hearts and steady faith inspire me greatly. I hope that you have the most amazing honeymoon together!
