Since I already had the pleasure of meeting Rachel and Jeremy for their engagement session it made the wedding day that much better! They are so easy to be around and you always leave conversations with them with a smile on your face. These two are the BEST, so much fun, and the most perfect complement to the other.
Leading up to their wedding, Rachel and Jeremy prayed a 54-day rosary novena with the final day ending on August 22nd, their wedding day! They both arrived at St. Gilbert’s beautiful chapel early to complete the novena. It was the most peaceful and grace-filled 20 minutes I have ever been a part of on a wedding day and you could just see the excitement on both of their faces when the rosary was complete.
Their full nuptial wedding mass was beyond holy and moving. The celebrants included a priest, 2 deacons, and a bishop! Family and friends were a part of the liturgy in all areas. I especially loved how Rachel’s sisters and friends sang for the wedding mass, they did the most beautiful job!
With their hands placed on their wedding crucifix. Jeremy and Rachel said their vows on the altar. Right before they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, Rachel and Jeremy both held up their wedding crucifix and took turns kissing the cross. It was such a simple yet powerful moment and I was moved to tears as they walked down the aisle.
After the wedding mass, we traveled to Kenosha for wedding party images, enjoying the perfect, sunny weather of mid-August! Right before the reception, we made a quick stop to a local Marina for some final photos. Rachel kicked off her heels and Jeremy helped her climb up on the rocks overlooking sparkling Lake Michigan for some bride and groom portraits. So much fun!
Their reception was held at the new, lovely Upper East in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It was decorated beautifully with touches of rose gold and greenery elements. One of the sweetest parts of the evening was when Rachel’s Father performed a song that he mixed with advice and sweet memories about their father-daughter relationship. Everyone had tears in their eyes, especially Rachel!
While Jeremy was sharing his sweet first dance with his mother, Rachel snuck out for a quick outfit change. She returned in a lace jumpsuit for the father-daughter dance. But this wasn’t your typical father-daughter dance! It started out sweet and slow and then broke out into the most epic Father-Daughter dance everyone had probably seen! They choreographed a dance to “It’s Tricky” by DMC and it was PERFECT! THE entire venue was on their feet cheering and Jeremy’s face was priceless!
Rachel and Jeremy, you two are one of the most inspiring couples who truly put your faith into practice and action. I will always remember your wedding day so fondly and hope you two have the most amazing honeymoon! I hope you enjoy a little glimpse into their perfect wedding day!
Jeremy was praying and waiting for his sweet bride to join him for the last day of their novena!
Congratulations, Rachel and Jeremy! May God bless you always – Colette
